Know Your True Self

Career guidance for students begins with a better conversation.

Career guidance for students should explore interests, learning preferences, current questions and practical options without expecting one test to decide the future.

StudentInterests, context and decisions
01

Listen

Understand the student’s stage, questions and decision timeline.

02

Explore

Discuss interests, learning experiences, preferences and relevant options.

03

Assess

Use suitable tools only as inputs alongside conversation and context.

04

Plan

Turn the discussion into realistic subjects, courses or next actions.

How assessment is used

No report should make the decision alone.

Psychometric tools and DMIT, when considered appropriate, are supplementary inputs. They are interpreted with the student’s background, interests, current performance, opportunities and counselling conversation.

The student remains at the centre.

The purpose is to make options clearer and identify useful next steps—not to label ability or guarantee a career outcome.
